Hello everyone,   (These must be in Nassau County)
We are currently looking for the following locations:
1) For Lion's Gate film, John Wick, they're looking for a high-end glass house with a water view.  If you have any suggestions/referrals, please send to nassaufilmoffice@nassaucountyny.gov and reference John Wick.
2) For Silver Pictures feature film, Non-Stop, (starring Liam Neeson), they're looking for a control type of room.  If you have any suggestions, please e-mail nassaufilmoffice@nassaucountyny.gov and reference Non-Stop. This is for Sept 6.

Jobs available

For SAG Modified Low-Budget film, Hard Sell, the're looking for the following:
1) A Production Accountant (must have worked on SAG movies previously)
2) Location Manager 
If you are interested in either of these positions, please email your resume/bio to dmarkowitz@nassaucountyny.gov and reference Hard Sell.  They will begin filming on 10/7 for 28 days in Nassau County - possibly a little bit in Suffolk.

Casting

For SAG Ultra Low Budget Feature, Living with the Dead, they're casting for the following part:
Kid Ish - 7 - 9 year old version of the following actor - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5090242/?ref_=fn_al_nm_2. This is a one-day shoot in or around New Paltz.  Character has 1 - 3 lines.  If interested, please send resume, reel and head shot to debra.markowitz@gmail.com.

Internships/Volunteer Positions Available at the Nassau County Film Office
The Nassau County Film Office has nonpaying, part-time internships and volunteer positions available in our Mineola office.  The Nassau County Film Office helps production companies find locations and services when they are filming in the Nassau County area.  We work with major studio films, independent films, commercials, industrial videos and fashion photography.

We work very closely with the Long Island Film/TV Foundation on producing the Filmmakers Connection Meetings and the Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE).

Some of our past interns have gone on to become Promotions Managers of local radio stations, lawyers at the State Attorney’s Office, Location Scouts, Placement Managers in the entertainment field, and other varied positions in the film and commercial industries.

You must be good on the phone, computer literate and dependable.  The Nassau County Film Office is open from Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4:45 pm.  We ask that you work 2 – 3 days within those days/hours.

A successful internship can earn you a highly respected letter of recommendation, college credits, contacts in the film industry and possible job referrals.  If you are interested in a career in the film/tv/commercial industries, make yourself a more viable job candidate by learning what goes into a film shoot from the ground level up.  We provide training.

Casting Notice for SAG Ultra Low Budget Feature

Living with the Dead - A SAG/NonSAG Ultra Low Budget Feature Film

Casting for the following characters:

Professor Tyre, 35+. A liberal and kind drama professor whose main focus is to promote dialogue in the classroom. All ethnicities welcome to submit.

Doctor Llewelyn-40+. Has been treating Max ever since her overdose. Serious, mildly impatient.  All ethnicities welcome to apply.

Kid Ish - 6 - 10.  Male. Small, thin.  Light skin.  Light brown, dark blond or red hair.  

All of these roles are one - two days of filming in Westchester, New Paltz, Brooklyn or Queens.
