Acting Gigs/UPM/1st AD/Models/Locations needed/Internship

HBO’s television movie, “Too Big to Fail,” needs a Dutch colonial home for approximately a week in November.

For a children’s book, which will be turned into a film, a local filmmaker/writer needs to find some actors with good facial expressions. He needs three men and women early 30s to 40s and four boys, 8 to 12. Kids with parents always welcome and a plus. Please send resumes to JREDEN4261@aol.com. There is no payment for the still work, but here may be for the movie (if you are chosen for both).

A unit production manager and 1st AD are needed for a short, low-budget (non-union) film. These are paid gigs. Shooting is from Sept 27th through October 11th. This is for a short, student, thesis project. Locations will be:
Studio (Easthampton Studio in Wainscott)
Highway (Sunrise highway east end)
Westhampton Beach (Restaurant, Cafe)
Medford (Office Building)
NYC (Lower West Side, Meatpacking district)
He is a student working on my thesis project.
Please send your resume and expressed interest to: neil@duneroadproductions.com

Local internship/volunteer positions open:
Internships/Volunteer Positions Available at the Nassau County Film Office

The Nassau County Film Office has nonpaying, part-time internships and volunteer positions available in our Mineola office. The Nassau County Film Office helps production companies find locations and services when they are filming in the Nassau County area. We work with major studio films, independent films, commercials, industrial videos and fashion photography.

We work very closely with the Long Island Film/TV Foundation on producing the Filmmakers Connection Meetings and the Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE).

Some of our past interns have gone on to become Promotions Managers of local radio stations, lawyers at the State Attorney’s Office, Location Scouts, Placement Managers in the entertainment field, and other varied positions in the film and commercial industries.

You must be good on the phone and computer literate. The Nassau County Film Office is open from Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4:45 pm. We ask that you work 2 – 3 days within those days/hours.

A successful internship can earn you a highly respected letter of recommendation, contacts in the film industry and possible job referrals.

Please e-mail your resume and the days/hours you are available to dmarkowitz@nassaucountyny.gov.

For further information, please contact Director Debra Markowitz at 516 571-3168 or e-mail to DMarkowitz@NassauCountyNY.gov.

Thank you for your attention.

If you have any suggestions for the other positions/locations, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and reference the project.

Thank you!
Debbie
