Location Needed - Child Casting!! - Panel on Film Financing

Location Needed - Child Casting!! - Panel on Film Financing

Hello everyone, (This must be in Nassau County)

1) For Boardwalk Empire - they're looking for a house similar to the attached reference photo. They're looking for an old, brown-shingled, 2 story type of structure that sits on a lot of land, at least an acre. If you have any suggestions, please email nassaufilmoffice@nassaucountyny.gov and reference Boardwalk Empire.

2) Casting!  A very special young actor -
We are currently casting a film called WEIGHTLESS, starring Nick Nolte ('48 Hours') and Jason
Clarke (‘Zero Dark Thirty’). And for this film we’re searching for a young boy
to play the leading role of ‘Will’. He is age 8-12, and weighs approximately
150 - 200 lbs.

This search is quite special. He's the kind of kid you don't see a lot of in
movies, and we want to change that. We have the opportunity to find a "diamond
in the rough" to play the leading role. He doesn’t need to be a professional
actor at all….

Our lead, 'Will', is just a sweet, quiet, shy kid. But, he's also coping with
childhood obesity, bullying and divorce — issues that affect so many kids today.
Ultimately it’s a hopeful story and we’re proud to be working on it.

Attached is a flyer with some more information on the movie and a link to our
website, www.weightlessaudition.com. On the website they can find out how to
audition. They can also ‘like’ our Facebook page and get updates there
(www.facebook.com/WeightlessCasting).

Any kid who might be in the ballpark, you can certainly encourage them to
audition by doing a short video interview on (doing it on a phone is fine - it
doesn’t need to be fancy) and uploading it to our audition site. There are
helpful instructions and tech support available, and we’re here to answer any
questions.

We would SO appreciate it if you could share this email and flyer with anyone
you think might be right, or anyone who might possibly know someone who would be
right. Kids, adults, teachers, counselors, etc., etc.

Lastly, if you can recommend any colleagues, any community leaders, or

For a new Warner Brothers film that will begin filming in mid-April. They're looking for a great warehouse / tremendous loft-type location for over 20 days of filming; it would be somewhat of a stage-on-location situation.  They'd want to rent for 2 - 3 months total. See reference photos below.  Please reference, Intern and e-mail dmarkowitz@nassaucountyny.gov.

Looking for a large warehouse- type space that could be dressed as a hip internet company ... light interior w/ metal / black iron work would be ideal but we are willing to dress and/or paint... should be BIG - Less than 10,000 SF probably won't cut it.

Short film with name talent - filming on Long Island!  Please take a look at our indiegogo campaign for The Last Taxi Driver. We put together a little skit on one-day's notice, and all these wonderful actors came out on the coldest day of the year with no rehearsal to put it all together. If you can donate - great! If not, even sharing would be most appreciated!! Movie stars Robert Clohessy (Wolf of Wall Street, Blue Bloods) and Emily Jackson (Incarnate). thank you!! http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-last-taxi-driver/x/52224  The movie, while a comedy, is darker, and we'l be contracting with a special effects company for the zombie make-up. Please help us raise the funds we need to do this right - $5 - $3,500 - everything is accepted, and sharing is most appreciated as well!  Thank you.
