Locations Needed, Casting Notices, Free Filmmaker Panel

Locations Needed, Casting Notices, Free Filmmaker Panel

Hello everyone,  (These must be in Nassau County)
1)For feature film, Mania Days, they’re looking for a working steel mill or iron mill. It's the quintessential steel mill operation: lots of heavy lead equipment, hot orange melted metal and ore pouring out of containers, sparks and welding everywhere, mega industrial. And it needs to be a working factory or complex.  If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and reference Mania Days.
2) A location scout would like to shoot a commercial (still photo) in 3 weeks. Client is looking for rolling hills with evergreens. If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and reference Fischer.
3) Looking for the ever elusive hospital for a feature film in April and May.  If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and reference M Lawrence.
3)We will be holding another Film-Friendly Nassau County Location and studio tour this coming Monday and Tuesday and are in need of lanyards, about 25.  If you have any to donate, they will need to be dropped off or mailed. Also, if you have any goodies you’d like to have put in the goodie bags (usable items), please let me know. Thank you.
4)Casting notices – thought I’d throw these in here.
a)For a book cover – looking for a male, 5’10” and taller. Brown, shoulder-length hair (but photo shop can add an inch or two), early 20’s (though photo shop can assist with that too).  Must be physically fit, muscular, but not bulky.  Romantic poses (but no nudity). One day, asap, shooting possibly in Riverhead.  Stipend and photos for book.  If you know anyone interested, please have them send their headshot/resume to castingkarma212@gmail.com.
b)For a music video. Looking for a curvaceous young woman to play a bride. This will be paid.  Shoot date, location, payment tbd.  If interested, please send headshot, full-length shot and resume to castingkarma212@gmail.com.
c)For an SAG low-budget indie feature film, they need an Italian looking gentleman to play a mob boss.  Appx a50-60 +.  If interested, please send headshot, resume and reel to castingkarma212@gmail.com.
5) For those interested in the film industry, the Long Island Film-TV Foundation has put together a free panel of award winning filmmakers:
We are having another filmmaker panel to promote LIIFE at Adelphi
University's Alumni House in Garden City, on Tuesday March 5th from
7pm-8:30pm. Our award winning panelists include Joan Stein Schemke,
Stevan Mena, Stephen Marro, and Steven Moskovic. Some of the topics

Locations Needed for Television and Commercial

Hello Everyone,  (These must be in Nassau County)
1) For a Canon USA YouTube marketing video, they’re looking to find a house close to Port Washington to shoot at on March 11th.  They would need the location all day…possibly from 7:30am – 6:00pm.  They aren’t looking for a huge house but they would need it to have a home office room and a living room.  The budget for this is $1000.00 - $1,500.00. If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and reference Hillman.
2) For television series, The Following, they’re looking for a strip of beach that doesn’t have greatly fluctuating tides and doesn’t have a lot of brush where they can construct and blow-up a small boat house.  If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and reference The Following.
3) For television pilot, The Black List, they’re looking for a company, preferably long island based, that would be able to drop off and maintain all the highway and road safety materials (traffic barrels, barricades and such) for the Long Beach / City Island bridge sequence they're considering in March. If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and reference, The Black List.
Thank you!

Debbie

If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and reference Fitz.

3)For a Sony Playstation promo, they need an old hospital, funeral home or morgue.  I don’t have too much info on this.  If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and reference Kunkle.

4)For television series, The Following, they’re looking for a closed school or a community center (maybe a place that’s used as an emergency shelter) for this coming Thursday and Friday.  Friday afternoon they need to shoot at a dock or marina – so they prefer the North Shore so they can be near those area, but they will consider others. Casting Notice

Casting Notice - SAG/NonSAG Indie Film

Breakdown: MASSI: Late 20s/Early 30s. Note: this character is written as being Italian, but we are open to other nationalities (French, Quebecois, Spanish, etc) An authentic foreign accent is a requisite. Lana and Kate's upstairs neighbor. Although Massi looks the part of the hunky ex-pat, there is an unusual nerdiness and silliness to him that increases his charm to Lana. He bounces between confidence and an insecure awkwardness. (Supporting, 9 Scenes, 4 Days). PLEASE note for this role that we strongly prefer an actual foreigner. We had a lot of people come audition who thought they could do an authentic accent, but we need a genuine accent (or at the very least someone who is first generation American and can do a convincing accent).   The shoot is April 9-28th. Actor must be an NY Local Hire.   And it's SAG Ultra-Low Budget, so both union and non-union are fine
If you know anyone who might be right, please have them email their materials to me at naomi@underherskin.com. Please ONLY if they're right.  For more more information on the project, please check www.underherskin.com for more information on the project."

Locations Needed for Movies and Television!

Hello everyone,  (These must be in Nassau County)

I am looking for the following locations.  If you have any suggestions, please e-mail both debfilm@aol.com and nassaufilmoffice@nassaucountyny.gov as I will be out of the office both Thursday and Friday.

First off, we’re very excited that Ally Sheedy will be attending the 16th annual Long Island International Film Expo from July 18 – 25 (barring any work commitments) at the Bellmore Movies.  You can find out more about LIIFE at www.LongIslandFilm.com.

Locations Needed:
1a)For a Twentieth Century Fox movie called "The Other Woman" starring Cameron Diaz and Kristen Wiig. Nick Cassavetes is directing the movie. They are looking for a couple of things. The first is a WIDE BEACH WITH DUNES where they can have the two girls stalking a guy. They're hiding out with binoculars spying on him and his girlfriend.
1b) The second is what's scripted as a HAMPTONS BEACH SHACK that is under construction. They can make anything look like it's under construction with set dressing but it needs to be a house with interesting architecture.  They are basically looking for a stand-alone house that we would believe is next to or near a beach. It doesn't need to be far out there because nothing in the script ties it to a beach, but it needs to look like a cottage of sorts. Nick asked for one of those places that sit next to a land preserve so the owner can brag that no one will ever be able to build next to him. If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and Nassaufilmoffice@nassaucountyny.gov and reference Other Woman.

2) For television series, Elementary, they’re trying to find these two building (reference photos attached) or any building in Nassau that might look like these.  If you have any referrals, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and nassaufilmoffice@nassaucountyny.gov and reference Elementary (First two photos).

3) The Black List, For television pilot, The Black List, they're looking for a classic colonial house on a bit of property (so they can build a guard booth), not overly decorated/minimal furniture, but cannot be vacant. What he is really looking for is a brick historical mansion on some property that can be shot both interior and exterior. If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and Nassaufilmoffice@nassaucountyny.gov and reference Black List.

4) For a new feature film called MANIA DAYS - they are scouting for Psychiatric Hospitals to use in the film. Need an interior and an exterior. Interior: classic, "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" sort of place. Colorless, metallic, white. Exterior should feel mythical: a huge campus with dark brick, old vines on the walls, foreboding.
Have included a few reference shots (last three photos) of the exterior as an example. Please send any referrals to debfilm@aol.com and Nassaufilmoffice@nassaucountyny.gov and reference Mania Days.

5) For CBS Television show, The Ordanes, they are looking for an old courthouse.    This is for 3 - 5 days in March.
If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and nassaufilmoffice@nassaucountyny.gov and reference Ordanes.
Thank you.
Best,
Debbie

Locations Needed for Television Pilot

Locations Needed for Television Pilot

Hello everyone,   (These must be in Nassau County)
I’m working on a huge television pilot with a lot of difficult locations.
For television series, The Black List, they need a lot of help:
a)      They need a drawbridge for a massive stunt.  Do we have any other drawbridges besides the one on the loop parkway? They need to have access to it, closing it for significant parts of several days (they’ll work with any municipalities on the days themselves).
b)      They will need to land a helicopter in a park that is adjacent to suburban houses.
c)       They need a skyscraper building that they can land a helicopter on.
d)      A Military housing looking development
e)      Hospital – film friendly
f)       Need a high level secure area, preferable somewhat modern.  Can be an old medical lab, or something like that.

They need to shoot mid-March through mid-April. If you have any suggestions, please e-mail debfilm@aol.com and reference Black List.
Thank you!
Debbie
